Antifrogen N – Premium Coolant for Demanding Closed Systems
Antifrogen N is a high-quality heat transfer fluid based on pure, virgin ethylene glycol, enhanced with a highly effective combination of corrosion inhibitors. Specifically developed for closed heating, cooling, and energy exchange systems, it ensures long-term protection against freezing, corrosion, and deposit formation – even under intensive industrial use.
Key Features
- Manufactured from pure, virgin ethylene glycol
- Free from borates, phosphates, nitrites, amines, silicates, and CMR substances
- Wide operating temperature range: –50 °C to +150 °C
- Stabilizes pH and protects metal surfaces over long periods
- Tested to ASTM D1384 standard – corrosion performance proven after 3000+ hours
Applications
- HVAC systems: offices, clinics, shopping centers, hotels
- Industrial cooling in plastic and chemical industries
- Heat recovery systems
- CNC machines, inverters, laser cooling units
- Geothermal and underground heating systems
- Ice rink cooling and sports infrastructure
Corrosion Protection
The inhibitor combination in Antifrogen N forms a protective film on metal surfaces, preventing corrosion of copper, steel, cast iron, aluminum, and their alloys. Testing according to ASTM D 1384 confirms minimal corrosion even after prolonged system operation.
Freeze Protection by Concentration
Antifrogen N provides flexible freeze protection depending on the mixing ratio with water:
- 30% concentration: approx. –16 °C
- 40% concentration: approx. –25 °C
- 50% concentration: approx. –37 °C
Concentrations above 60% are not recommended, as efficiency may decrease.
Compatibility with Materials
Antifrogen N is compatible with most plastics and elastomers commonly used in technical systems, including EPDM, PTFE, HDPE, SBR, and others. Not recommended for systems containing galvanized components or flexible PVC. For sealing, use Fermit or Fermitol pastes.
Usage Recommendations
- Use only in closed systems
- Avoid galvanized components and chlorine residues
- Thoroughly clean systems of salts and biofilms before filling
- Do not mix with other products
- Use demineralized or properly treated tap water for dilution
Technical Data (at 40% concentration)
- Freezing point: approx. –25 °C
- Boiling point: >105 °C
- Density at 20 °C: ~1.07 g/cm³
- pH value: 7.5–8.5
- Color: yellowish
