Antifrogen L is a high-performance heat transfer fluid based on pure, virgin propylene glycol, formulated with highly effective corrosion inhibitors. Designed for use in closed heating and cooling systems, it ensures long-term protection even under extreme conditions.
Key Features
Made from pure, virgin propylene glycol
Free from phosphates, nitrites, amines, silicates, borates, and CMR substances
Operating temperature range: –30 °C to +150 °C
Minimum concentration: 25% by volume (approx. –10 °C protection)
Can be used as a concentrate or pre-mixed solution
Meets ASTM D 1384 corrosion protection standards
Applications
HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning)
Food & beverage processing (e.g., ice cream, chocolate, dairy, meat)
Pharmaceutical & chemical industry (process cooling)
Heat pumps & underfloor heating
Sprinkler systems (VdS certified – G4040093)
Corrosion Protection
The corrosion inhibitors in Antifrogen L form a protective layer on metal surfaces. Testing has shown minimal weight change even after 3,000 hours of operation. Provides long-term protection for steel, copper, cast iron, brass, aluminum, and their alloys.
Freeze Protection by Concentration
| Concentration | Freeze Protection |
|---|---|
| 30% | approx. –13 °C |
| 40% | approx. –21 °C |
| 50% | approx. –33 °C |
| 55% | up to –40 °C |
⚠️ Recommended maximum concentration: 50%
Tested according to ASTM D 1177
